Hello, I picked up a clone uno and I was also to set up the driver for it to work on my Mac running Yosemite. I was able to see the USB port and run sketches, but I ran one sketch and was able to uploaded, but when I started to upload some changes, it would crash my Mac. I reinstalled Arduino 1.8.5 and removed the usb driver and reinstalled, but it still crashes every time I try to upload a sketch. 4lights on the uno are on (Red leds) On,Rx,Tx, and (L flashing)
The port I select is wchusbserial1d20. Not sure if this is important the programmer is avrisp mill. Mac Yosemite 10.10.5
Thanks in advance for any Help.
I have bought more than 20 Arduinos -- Nano, Pro Mini, Uno -- from Chinese sellers on eBay, and they work even with Linux.
However, I have no experience with them on a Mac.
It could simply be that "something blew up". Usually is the case.
Something that the OP did that is not mentioned.

Possibly, I buy Originals and clones, but would never ask to get support on them from Arduino (or this forum) - I would go to the seller/manufacturer. It's like buying a chinese clone of a Lexus, and expecting Lexus to give support!
yes, but we get tons of questions about clones on this forum all the time
if it isn't a driver issue, it usually is a operator error
