Arduino Nano with 12v RGB led strip

Hi guys,

I'm new in arduino and I want to work with led strip.
I have an arduino nano, a 12v RGB led strip and some female header cable (to connect arduino with led strip). But I don't know how to connect the arduino with led strip.
My led strip has 4 cables (12v and RGB), but the arduino doesn't have any "port" with 12v, only 5v. I need an external batery to give power to the strip? Or if I connect the arduino with my pc and connect arduino with the led strip will do the job?
Can anyone help me with this?

You will need much more than that. The Arduino can't connect to, or provide power to 12V devices. You will need transistor drivers between the Arduino and the strip.

When you post a schematic.

Generally, your load, LED strip, motor, servo, etc, need to be powered separately from the MCU.
