Hi,

Does the motors in the arduino robot come with encoders? If not, is it possible to replace the motors with these:

Also, may I know what AVR chip is used on the Arduino robot?

Not sure about the motors. The Arduino Motor board writeup does not mention encoders.

The Boards (2 of them) use the ATmega32u4 chips. You can find the writeup through the "Products" link at the top of this page.
