Arduino with RS-422

Hi all,

I want to interface Rs-422 with arduino. For this a transceiver is required. Which device will work fine in this ?

Hi.

You have the datasheets.
So you can see the last one doesn't really do RS 422 (it does 485 or one direction 422, if i'm not mistaking).

The other 2 should do.
But if you have to ask while you have the dataheet, do you think you'll be able to build this by yourself ?

Also, do check whether or not you need galvanic isolation on the RS 422 bus.

422 is single direction, so has drivers and receivers,
485 is bidirectional (with inspecified bus negotiation) and thus has transceivers.
