HELLO everyone. I'm using this fingerprint module now. To jump straight to the point this fingprint module doesn't run in 3.3v in my esp8266 or the 32. it only runs smooth at 5v in my arduino nano. How would I be able to provide an external power supply to my fingerprint module, the same as the arduino's 5v output? thanks
If you power your Esp board from usb, you can use 5V pin to power your sensor.
Chinese datasheet says TX voltage is 3.3V, so it should be directly compatible with Esp serial pins(without level shifter).
You could verify that with voltage meter though.
