Hi
I am using Eagle 9.5.1 drawing program, I am doning a schematic, but I need to get it into a project but don't seem to be able to copy the schematic to a project name, should I of made the project name first, then create the schematic ?.
Any help on this, not sure if anyone on here uses Eagle though !.

I think you need to create a new project and then import the schematic into it.
What format is your schematic saved in now?

If I click on a new project name, there is no option to import !

I don't understand, what are you doing...

  • You have to open a project in the Eagle
  • Go to File menu - Import
  • Select format and choose the file

Sorry, I can't test it, I havent an Eagle on my PC just now...

I'm stuck at pre-autodesk EAGLE (7.3), but isn't a "project" just a directory containing a .epf file? You can copy/rename/re-save schematic or board files into that directory, or you can drag and drop them in the "Control Panel."
