avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

Hello folks,

I tried upload code to arduino/genuino uno, with PIC18F45K22 Microprocessor and ATmega328 Microprocessor but I received this error:

Arduino: 1.8.1 (Linux), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 6210 bytes (19%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 232 bytes (11%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1816 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
An error occurred while uploading the sketch

I tried upload a basic code to this hardware: Bot'n Roll ONE A Robot. This board has the basic arduino embedded.
Any suggestions are welcome, thanks

I am getting this same message when I try uploading the blink program. Can anyone help. I have the Arduino 1.8.1 version installed on a 32bit windows 7 computer . My compute is recognizing the unit plugged into the port. But error come in the downloading process.

Where can I find info on this?

What does the device manager tell you, when you plug in the USB cable?
If an Arduino was detected -> did Windows allocate a COM port and did you select this COM port in the IDE?

RPT007, well I downloaded the program on my CAD PC at work. The program uploaded.

So the device works at work just not at home.

Windows allocated a COM port on bothe PCs

Windows allocated a COM port

Ok, let's say it is COM5 on your home PC.

Did you select this COM5-Port in the IDE?

Hint: sometimes Windows and iDE have trouble with USB3; if you have the chance -> prefer a USB 2.0 connection/port.

Thank you! Works now! I think I had the device hooked in the wrong com port.
