Back home now, arduino is liked by physicists!

I just got back from the aapt national meeting for physics education. Countless people expressed interest in using arduino in physics teaching. There may be a big movement coming soon. Also, it feels very good to be the smartest physicist and most wanted on the meeting  People seak me over lunch for advice. Even biggest teaching equipment companies are trying to know what do with arduino.

There might be more physicists coming to the forum to ask questions so please be nice to them as one of them I know we are not used to ask questions

As long as they don't just post "my sketch doesn't work" please help.

Plus I always thought the highest function for a physicists was to ask the 'big' questions?

Good humor! We don't interact with peers much. We just ask out experiments or computer calculations or other lifeless means.

I really am beginning to think that proposing telepresence "seminars" on Arduino might be a reasonable thing to consider..

Many high school teachers expressed interest in summer activities but they need help. Even talking to your local high schools may start the conversation. Attend a local or state teacher's conference and contribute a talk on arduino and science/engineering curriculum you will find many teachers are actually eager to teach learn but they were stuck in ruts of past practices or low budget. This summer may be too latr but think about the winter and next summer. Spread the word.
