Battery temperature effect

Hallo everyone,
I'm doing an experiment on the effect of temperature on the battery
My problem now is how to get the parameters α, β, ∆Q/∆T and ∂E/∂T.
Could you please help me with that.
Could one of you help with this?
Thank you

Im Deutschem Furumteil schreibt man Deutch.
Und was hat das mit Arduino zu tun?

just moved to the General Electronics section of the forum

wenn du keine Idee hast, schreib bitte nicht

The usual approach is to fit curves to your measurements, based on the battery model you have chosen.

What data do you have and how did you get it? (ie what experiments did you carry out?)

I want to see the impact of temperature on the Lithium -ion battery

Make measurements at different temperatures.

Did you notice that the photo you posted of one page of someone's research paper suggests two temperatures?

Exactly, but you didn't post how to get the parameters, just what's in the slide

See post #5 for the approach.

For informed help, please read and follow the instructions in the "How to get the best out of this forum" post.

Which effect ?

How much noise they make during charge, as the temperature is varied ?

When does the project have to be completed by ?

I'm already done with the simulation I just need the parameters

Are you able to reveal (the exact details) of which parameters you are interested in ?

  • E/T is the reversible voltage temperature coefficient, in V/K.
  • α is the Arrhenius rate constant for the polarization resistance.
  • β is the Arrhenius rate constant for the internal resistance.
  • ΔQ/ΔT is the maximum capacity temperature coefficient, in Ah/K.

Ah, thank you.

Good luck.

So when do you have to complete this research task ?

You will need to make some measurements, then, on an actual battery. Make the measurements at a couple of different temperatures, then fit the model parameters to the data.

Good luck with your assignment!

In two weeks
Thank you for the Feedback

Thank you for the Feedback

Seems to have nothing at all to do with Arduino.

If you really have a geniune interest to measure the 'Battery temperature effect' you need a lab full of decent, calibrated, measuring equipment.
