my goal is to use n-mosfet with maks 1A/5V output and 40-50kHz from 3.3V pin. What will be the best?
I will do short times 1-2s and long delay minimum 1 minute.

Would SMD be OK, or does it need to be through-hole?
Im not good at SMD soldering so THT will be best if there is no THT I will have to learn.
In this schema I have NPN transistor, but I cannot saturate them enough to pass so much current, so I think about using n-mosfet.
If 3.3V logic n-mosfet isn't possible other option is switch from ESP32 to 5V logic microcontroller.
