Bluetooth modem board

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible and where can I find help to create a bluetooth modem like this one: SparkFun Bluetooth Modem - BlueSMiRF Gold - WRL-12582 - SparkFun Electronics. I am using a bluetooth chip from Laird model BT800 which is normally used for USB 2.0 connection.
I was being told that I would need a serial adapter but I have space restrictions in my project this is why I wanted to use such a small bluetooth transceiver.

A JY-MCU module with HC-05 bluetooth is much the same size and shape as that, but comes for about 1/10th the price on ebay. It connects to D0,D1 on your arduino, no USB stuff required, and is probably what you want.

It is possible the Sparkfun device comes at such an absurd price because it has more power. The HC-06 is good for about 10m line of sight.
