It is not possible to edit or modify the content of an sticky note widget in dashboard.
Right click > Edit settings just show "Content visibility" and "Background color" and it´s not possible to select or edit the text in the sample.
A lot more info is needed. Since it's a cloud issue, I am not even sure what that is. Obviously post the code in code tags, also if any error messages. screen grab the variables and any attributes. It roughly sounds like you did not make the variable for sticky note a read/write variable. If memory serves that is a check box somewhere in the variables dialogues/property sheets.
Hi Sonofcy,
The sticky note widget can be used to write important notes or to categorize your widgets.
The sticky note can not be linked with a variable and is designed to keep notes only while using a dashboard. It does support the use of markdown so that you can create titles, links, code blocks etc.
Here is official documentation
It´s just a note to be used in dashboards, the problem is that it is impossible to edit or change the content.
In that case report it as a bug.
I’ve not gotten anywhere with this widget too. Curious to hear any clarification.
@cocopot I just tried it. It works just fine. I suspect you are misinterpreting it's use. It is for making notes re the dashboard, it's not a part of the data. I just did it, here are the edit screen where I added and edited it and the view of the dashboard on my phone
@sonofcy Try to change the default content of the sticky note... as I said, I can create the note, but it is not possible to write your own message.
Now it is working!! someone solved it, thank you!
I did and you can see it in post #6. Remember, it can't be changed programmatically, it's just for developer notes.
Thank you @sonofcy !
Please mark post #6 as the solution.
