Can HT12E transmit audio

Hi guys,
just wondering can you use HT12E/HT12D to send and receive analog audio signal from microphone?

DId you read this: "In this instructable you'll can send and receive data using very very cheap COMPONENTS LIKE : HT12E (ENCODER) and HT12D (DECODER) and a pair of Rf modules of 433 Mhz.".
IF you convert the audio to digital, then it becomes data and can be sent and received as data. BUT, why would you want to do this? There are several devices missing in your project, such as an amplifier for the microphone. And what would you do with the data on the receiver?
