Can I switch these servos? Different max torque servos

So I have a question that needs to be answered as soon as possible.

I am building a hexapod that will weight around 3,5Kg-4 Kg (max).

This hexapod is based in a kit.

To build this robot you can either buy the frame only kit with no servos, or a kit that includes the hexapod frame and the 25 servos. The servos are the Hitec HS-645MG High Torque 2BB Metal Gear Servo, making this last kit unsurprisingly overpriced, since these motors are a bit expensive (making the price of motors only around 750€ (25 *31)

750€ calculated price for my country counting shipping as free.

What is your source for these servos? If it's ebay DON'T buy them. There are lots of fake servos on ebay.

I purchased some MG996R servos which turned out not to have ball bearings but they used bushings. These servos were junk.

I include a bill of material on the parts I used for my Halloween Hex. Make sure you follow the links to other places where I've documented the project. I need to fix a couple links since the new owners of Let's Make Robots (RobotShop) deleted all my posts from the site. The other links should still be good.

Well I wanted to make an a-pod from RobotShop :P. Starting with the hardware only kit and buying the motor servos here in my country (which is a pain, since prices are much higher then online of, so the source is not from ebay for sure.

And ofc buying the microcontroller and so on separately, since the hardware + servos kit is a ripoff.

Do you think its possible to make a 3 DOF Mandible head with an Actobotics Horizontal Standard Gripper Kit A from robotshop??

I think that should be possible. There are lots of options to do something like this.

While I don't think ebay is a good place to buy servos, I think it's great for lots of other robot parts. If you use "robot claw" as your search terms, you'll see a bunch of options.
