- Click the "OK" button.
- Attempt an upload, as you did before.
- After the upload fails, you'll see a button on the right side of the orange bar in Arduino IDE: Copy error messages. Click that button.

- Click the

There is a program named a "bootloader" that is stored in a special area of the memory in the microcontroller of the Nano board. The classic Nano (as well as its 3rd party derivatives) have been manufactured with two different types of bootloader installed.
You must configure the Tools > Processor menu in Arduino IDE according to which bootloader is installed on your Nano. Having the incorrect configuration selected in this menu is one of the potential causes of uploads failing with the "avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding" error.
The multiple blinks on reset tell us that your Nano board has the modern bootloader installed.
I can see from the verbose upload output that you have Arduino IDE incorrectly configured for use with the Nano boards with the "old bootloader".
Select Tools > Processor > ATmega328P from the Arduino IDE menus to configure it for use with the modern bootloader and then try uploading again.
Hopefully this time the upload will finish successfully.

This error might be caused by having the wrong port selected from the Tools > Port menu in Arduino IDE.
Please perform this experiment to verify that the port you have selected is your Arduino board:
- Disconnect the USB cable of the Arduino board from your computer.
- Select Tools > Port from the Arduino IDE menus.
- Take note of the ports, if any, listed in the menu.
- Close the Tools menu.
The ports list is only updated when the Tools menu is re-opened, so this step is essential. - Connect the Arduino board to your computer with a USB cable.
- Select Tools > Port from the Arduino IDE menus. - If a new port is listed in the menu, that is the port of your Arduino board.
Select that port from the menu and try uploading again.
If the upload still fails, or if no new port appeared after you plugged the Arduino board into your computer, add a reply here to let us know and we'll investigate the problem further.

when i plug the arduino in my computer IDE shows that my ardiuno is connected but once i upload the code the serial monitor shows that not connected and choosee a port and a board and after uploading complete and getting this error message arduino return to connect

- Leaving the USB cable of the board disconnected, select Tools > Port from the Arduino IDE menus.

No i can not see it, COM3 doesn’t exist in the port list
It is possible for a short or external circuitry connected to the Arduino board to interfere with the upload process, causing this type of upload error.
Make sure the board is not sitting on anything conductive that could short the contacts on the bottom of the board. Make sure there isn't any conductive debris (e.g., strands of wire or component leads) on the board or on the surface the board is sitting on.
If you have a shield or any external circuitry or components connected to your Arduino board, try this experiment:
- Disconnect the USB cable of the Arduino board from your computer.
- Disconnect any shields, modules, external circuitry, etc. from your board.
- Connect the Arduino board to your computer with a USB cable.
Now try uploading a sketch to the board again. Does the upload succeed?
This experiment will determine whether the upload error was caused by interference from your external circuitry. If so, you can then focus your attention on identifying the specific problem with the circuit and resolving it.
