Hi all! I am working on a device that uses a NEO-7M and MPU6050 to display GPS and accelerometer values. I could use some help with doing this schematic. I am very much new to making pcbs and I don't really know any best practices, but most importantly if this pile of stuff will even work.
In this project, I don't intend on using a USB port or any peripherals, for those reasons I left that stuff out. I am planning on using a programmer to upload code.
On a first glance - I do a bit of "odd things": LED2 does not seem to have a current limiting resistor! driven without resistor from MCU pin?
And: looks like your accelerometer does not have a real ground (the VDD does not go directly to GND and what is this LED3 there?)
But if you connect all to the right MCU pins properly - no idea (who has time to verify if all MCU pins are correct?)
Hi,
Before going to PCB, have you protoboarded your code to prove it works?
What is RF1?
Can you please produce a connected schematic, rather than a net name "search a word"?
We need to see a schematic that shows signal flow, connections and power supplies.
ALL hardware, including what is connected to sockets.
For example, how many connections are there to "RX1", you have to search for the word to find all connections.
A wire schematic will show, instantly, where all the "RX1" connections are.
Alright, thanks for all the tips! Here is the link to the file
Let me know if it works for you guys!
The LED2 is going through the 1k array resistor, it might have been a little difficult to see in the picture... Can you elaborate a little more on the "real ground"? The CLKIN is supposed to run to the ground, yes.
To answer your questions Tom, yes! I have made prototypes before and tested the code's functionality. RF1 is an SMA antenna connector.
