I purchased an arduino compatible board ( Seeduino Lotus ) and I tried to install the Arduino IDE using the guide from the site. The example had the version 1.6.10. After I download it and unzip it I try to use the Terminal to install it. There this error shows up :
" rm: cannot remove '/usr/local/bin/arduino': No such file or directory
Removing symlink failed. Hope that's OK. If not then rerun as root with sudo.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?
This warning is normal and expected on the first installation. You can safely ignore it.
Since this warning was causing a lot of confusion, the installation script has been updated to not show it. That will be in the next release of the Arduino IDE:
