Cannot sign in to store.arduino.cc due to multipass error

Hi everyone,

I hope someone from arduino reads this. Whenever I try to sign in to the store.arduino.cc I get the following error:

"You are not authorized to use Multipass login"

I googled this a bit and it seems it is caused by using the remote_ip field in the customer information json. This remote_ip field only allows IPv4 addresses and it seems I'm unlucky to have an IPv6 address...

You can find the details here: https://shoplineapphelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-001/articles/7363053062297-Learn-about-Multipass
When you search for the error, you find the last entry of the FAQ on that site looking like this:

Q:Does the remote_ip field support IPv6 addresses?

A:No, only IPv4 addresses are supported. Multipass returns the error "You are not authorized to use Multipass login" if the remote_ip doesn't match the IP specified in the customer data hash.

Arduino team, please FIX THIS! I want to BUY something from you but I cannot sign in! Please please fix this!

Thanks

I can log in here but same problem for the store section.

I would have expected Arduino to have IT people able to fix that.

It's been 5 months and not even one person from Arduino has bothered updating us on here. Just the usual: please contact us directly.
It seems contacting them directly didn't solve anything.

Has anyone been able to buy at the same price from another place?

Thanks

I encountered this problem when trying to create an account with mail adress A. I then tried to just order the thing I wanted via Paypal. It worked and logged me into an account I didn't know I had. So maybe this is Arduinos way of saying you already have an account when trying to create a new one. Sadly I don't know what that would me when trying to log in.

Not 100% sure if this is related.

However some large blocks of IP's were recently added to the major blacklists.
A lot are quite innocent according to the details I have.

It may slow down getting into some sites and even on occasion cause a refusal.
Doesn't slow me down as I have shotgun / fallback connection's

If you have a semi permanent or permanent IP you should check the various blacklists and report it as a false positive.

One such site is here

Not really a meme-er but this was hard to pass up.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Please fix this!!!

SAME... (bump)
...:pensive: Geez-Louis ... IMHO, this should REALLY be seen as a rather embarrassing "issue" for their web dev team. One would think they'd even consider this a decent priority deserving their attention. But that's just my two cents...

@jojo can you pass this along to the relevant team.
It does appear to be a growing issue.

Hello, we are aware of the issue. As @ptillisch mentioned in post #2 do get in contact with us and we can help you make the order in Arduino Store.

Dear Arduino Team,
I still have the problem with error 'not authorized to use multipass login'. Reading above looks like its a general problem on Arduino store side.
Can you please fix it and update about the status here?

Thank you,
Nils

Same here since a few days. I ordered the new R4 minima and wifi on 29. June and cannot login since 30. June...

As mentioned above, please contact Arduino Support via this form if you are affected by this problem:

https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us

General discussion about the problem is welcome here, but posting on this forum topic will not be an effective method of getting assistance with logging in to the Arduino Store.

Same here. Sent details via contact form.

Same multipass login error.
I got this from support
