I have double checked my wiring, and followed multiple tutorials on how to interact with the AT commands on arduino side serial monitor with a HM-10 and a HC-05. I have ground wires connected, vcc connected, tx to rx and rx to tx connected. I Put the HC-05 into command mode by pressing the button and getting a slow pulse. I have tried all the baud rates and set serial monitor to both NL and CR but I am seemingly getting no response. I am eager to get this working and have ordered 3 new HC-05's just incase but I know the HM-10 works fine as a slave as I just took it from another project. it won't show me the at commands either though to change it to master;/. any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
For the HC-05 the method in my tutorial work for all the HC-05 modules that i have tried.
I have not used the BLE HM-10.
Haven't had much experience with HM-10.

I tried that a different way, to change the name, but messed something up.
il just check it out thanks for replying!
il give it a go, I'm sure they must be something silly going on that im just missing. once I have the new HC-05's from Pihut il be able to tell if its just me or if its the modules. either way its super frustrating. I feel like I've triple checked everything. il do the tutorial and double check though. thanks for the response man!
okey so thanks guys for the help. I have actually had responses now by connecting the rx to the rx pin and tx to the tx pin on my arduino mega. but when connected in the same way to the arduino nano every it does not work unfortunately.
