I have searched the forum and Google, but prior work-arounds used to install Arduino drivers on Windows do not seem to work with Windows 8.1 64-bit Pro.
To name a few, I have tried:
- Updating/re-installing the IDE and thus the drivers
- Disabling requiring signed drivers (driver signature verification)
- Installing it with the Compaq Modem driver
- Setting back the system clock
- Windows help & learning
- https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/Software/CP210x_VCP_Windows.zip
- Installing an old version of the IDE from Google code
- Yelling at the text file in the drivers folder that claims they are signed and work just fine with Windows
Any other potential solutions would be greatly appreciated...
