Carriots

I just discovered Carriots as an alternative to using a public IP address to view my sensor data. Not much in the way of support on their site so I thought I'd see how much is known about it here.

Before I get into too much detail, anybody used this service and willing to help me with it?

Thanks.

Thanks.. Tom..

Carriots has a tutorial for Arduino. before you waste time coming to tewrms with it, the first thing to check with any IoT platform like this is the cost, the amount of data, and frequency it will accept. In the likely event that Carriots is not up to scratch, look elsewhere. In my experience Xively is the best of them in this regard, but I have not used it for a while, and that may no longer be the case.

I did go completely through the tutorial and everything applicable on their site. I wouldn't come here before I exhausted what I could find there. Thanks alot.

Hi Tom,

https://www.carriots.com/

Good luck and let me know how it works out for you.

The critical information is nicely set out at https://www.carriots.com/pricing. The free tier seems pretty limited to me.

You can also check out https://thingspeak.com/ although they have recently introduced limits on the free plan you can still get 3 million points per year and 10 million stored points (each point can have up to 8 fields) if yo u can live with the 15 second update limit.

If this is not suitable there is a huge list at http://www.postscapes.com/internet-of-things-platforms/
