HELP!!! I have purchased some NANOs that use the CH341 serial interface. I am not able to get it to upload a sketch - it fails with an avrdude error. I am using Windows XP and version 1.0.5 . My other boards work fine (UNO, older NANOs, MEGAs etc.). I have downloaded supposed drivers for the CH341
but they don't seem to have any effect. It is hard to discover how to deal with these drivers because I do not read Chinese and the README.TXT files are all in Chinese. Any guidance as to how to get a handle on drivers for this interface?

The drivers are available from the manufacturers website here.
I've solved the CH340 connection issue by this way.
Basically, you just need to download the driver and install it on your computer.
After your computer recognize the CH340 chip, you can upload your sketch successfully:-)

Only downloading is not sufficient.
I hope, you also installed them correctly?
Another cause could be that WinXP is not longer supported by those drivers and you need to get an older version which installs on your WinXP system.
Edit: the manufacturer's website says: the same driver is valid for XP, Win7, Win8, Win8.1, Win10 ...
