Charge lipo battery

hi guys,

is it possible to use arduino to balance lipo battery while they are charging i found in internet several project but they are all about small capacity of the battery

i need to make a balancer for 8-10 cells lipo and give them 5.0 amps of currente while charging

thank you

That is a dangerous undertaking. If the charger fails, you may witness a rather spectacular fire and/or explosion. It is best to buy a suitable charger.

You can find chips like the ISL94212 or BQ76PL536A to handle it; they use external mosfets so there's no particular charge current limit.

But of course you always charge LiPo's under supervision on a fire-proof base,
so you'll be ready...

[ Seriously this is the rule for unprotected LiPo's, no unattended charging, expect a fire ]

Thanx guys, better hyperon!!!

I will try to find the way to program it from serial port with arduino!!!
