Hello, I am using a wall plug charger that charges my battery.
I need to see if it is okay to connect the charger directly to the batteries even if the batteries run the system
Basically this is part of the circuit. VBUS and Vcharge come from the usb port. Vbat is the battery positive connection.
What is the best way to connect the charger to the Battery without ruining the batteries or the rest of my circuit.
Do I just connect the Vcharge directly to VBat? and it would run the rest of the board as well without a problem?
The charger is similar to this one
What kind of battery are you charging?
I have 2 li-ion in series
It is not recommended to use wall chargers, connected directly, to charge batteries.
Search documents available on the web about charging Li Ion batteries before something serious happens.
If not loaded correctly and with protection, they can even explode.
And what is recommended, floor or table charger?
Why not? they are already made for 2 batteries in series. I read and was recommended by multiple people to do that since the charging IC is the first thing to go out. If the charger breaks, you only have to change the charger and not the whole device.
Ok.
Back to your question..
What is your circuit, what are you trying to do in practice?
That's not a charger.
Do you have a datasheet for the actual charger?
this is the link for the charger
it says its for 2S li-ion
The system is basically 2 buck/boosts, one that has 7.4v to 6.45v (bunch of LEDs) and the other is 7.4v to 3.3v (for an ESP32).The system would be using 4W, so probably a current draw around 0.5-0.55Amps. The charger is rated for 1 amp.
That is not a charger
Package Included:
1 x AC / DC Power Supply Adapter
Interesting label...
Input 100-240V Ac
Output
nothing!
yeah i think the picture is generic
And actual label, what output it gives??
I should receive it on monday and I will be able to tell you
And how will you know?
Will you try to charge a battery?
Will you place a variable load on the output?
You could open the whole crap and post photo here before connecting to anything
This could be better

You would need a balancing cable.
