Connecting a 36 button box for simulator games

Hello everyone, my name is Stephen. I need some guidance for my first DIY project. Am really exicited to know that I will succeed in this project, I have encountered the first hiccup. I will be using adruino pro micro board and I will be connecting 1 ignition starter switch (has a key for ignition, and has ACC, START, IGNITION, and BATTERY terminals), 12 momentary buttons, 10 latching switches, 3 rotary enconders, 10 ON/OFF/ON toggle switches. I have decided to map all connections on a 6*6 matrix. My probelm is ON HOW TO CONNECT THE IGNITION STARTER SWITCH. Can someone guide me through and I will be greatful
I have an option for buying but I feel I will enjoy the challenge. Thank you everyone

Connect BATTERY to one of the columns.
Connect ACC, START and IGNITION to 3 different rows

you haven't specified what kind of simulator you're talking about but I suppose it's a flight simulator.
So have a look at this FSX 737NG Light panel project I made a few years ago, I think you could get some useful hints...
