Connecting an Arduino to an RC car controller

Hello.
Well am doing an autonomous RC car project and what i want to do is connect my arduino with the RC toy car controller so that instead of pressing the buttons on the controller to controll the car, the arduino will send the signals to the controller saying which button is pressed.Any idea how should i connect it?

You need to get a voltmeter and see how those switches operate and the relevant voltages - then you might be able to work how to do it .
