I am trying to connect a Arduino Nano to a Mac Book Pro (10.10.4).
I installed the FTDI driver: FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_3.dgm
I restarted my computer
Within the software (1.6.5), I selected:
Board: Ardunio Nano
Professor: ATmega 168
Port: This is the problem, I believe. Only bluetooth ports are showing up
Programmer: Does this selection matter?
Any suggestions?
Do you have ability to post close-up pictures of the top and bottom side of your Nano?
Yes, a lot of those china-nanos now don't have an "FTDI" - they're using a CH-something or other (not the same.)
I have the same problem .... But is there a workaround for that, or is it simply NFG?
Need to see close-up pictures of the top and bottom side of the Nano, or at least need to see a basic picture of the Nano and post the chip numbers from the bottom and top.
This is a picture of my board.
Need chip number from the chip on top of the board, which is not clear in the picture. it is probably atmega328 or atmega168. And most critical is the chip number from the bottom of the board, that is the usb chip which you will need a driver for. If you think this Nano is a common Chinese clone, you can try installing drivers for CH340G.
That chip worked-- thanks!
