Hello: I want to know if the Arduino Mega 2560 is capable of controlling a single-phase convection fan motor that has a 120v 40 W transformer for an oven or air fryer to connect to the Arduino Mega but it is possible that it can cause high power or it can burn what make a project about a solar dehydrator oven that when you turn on 6 12 V fans it starts (I have two h bridges, one h bridge connects four fans as 4 motors and the other bridge would be two fans or motors to connect to the arduino board) now that flow the solar air to the dehydrator zone when the Ds18b20 temperature sensor with the 4.7k resistance detects if it increases more than 60 degrees and keeps it for 5 or 10 minutes, turning on another fan on top (which is a single-phase convection fan motor that It has a 120v 40 W transformer for an oven or air fryer with the heating element) and it stays on for many hours or less than 30 minutes and I have a screen to check at what temperature degrees? I don't know that we need a relay or AC to DC converter or mosfet or capacitor or inductor or the modules
Yes, but you need to interface the Arduino to the 120V. Connecting the 120 to the Arduino will make a crispy critter out of it. Post a rough schematic of what you are trying to do an links to technical information on the parts.
There are a few things to check, Be sure the relay is rated for the current you are switching or greater. A 10A relay with a 12A load will die a slow death. A 20A relay switching a 10A load should last a long time. Cycling relays more than a few times a minute will destroy them. There are solid state relays that are not that expensive, be sure if you get one it is for AC.
Assuming the relays are sized correctly you are good to go.
