I wish to build a continuous low speed shaker and I found that a S30K Electric 2-wire BLDC motor (12V) from AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-S30K-Electric-Brushless-Motor.html ) paired with a Mini 5A 90W PWM 12V DC motor speed controller (https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-Mini-5A-90W-PWM-12V-DC-Motor-Speed-Controller-.html ) could work but I wish to conrol it via Arduino and I have zero experince with BDLC motors.
Can anyone recommend a compatible motor driver that would work well for this configuration (eliminating the usage of the speed controller)? or recommend other motor/driver setup?
Thanks

If that is actually a brushless motor, then you won't be able to control its' speed.
Is there some reason why the motor needs to be brushless?

OK. I have no prefrences for BLDC. I just need a good, reliable, low speed ,high torque and maybe low profile motor.

How low is "low" and how high is "high"
When I read your requirements, I think of a stepper motor, not a BLDC motor.
I agree. Talk in numbers, otherwise is wasting time.

Do you need to reverse motor direction and/or be variable speed?

Thanks.
If we think about stepper motor without gearbox the min torque is 3.5 kg·cm higher even better. Gearbox is fine.
The max. RPM is 50.
Reverse motor direction not mandatory (but in stepper it sould not be an issue).
NEMA 17 OR 23.
My experience is that they get warm, and I wish to mount it in a 3D printed PLA housing. Therefore, is warming an issue?

Then using a stepper is way overcomplicated.
A simple geared motor with a single MOSFET driver is all you need.
Therefore, is warming an issue?
Yes and you haven't even considered the heat generated by the driver.
Maybe a continuous servo. The good thing is that it has everything you need built in and you only need to provide a suitable power supply (Arduino is NOT a power supply) and a control signal from a microcontroller or even a 555 timer of your choice. It even has a direction control.
