Controll with android

Hello!

Im a type of guy that likes technology as much as cars. Not to good with technology as with cars tho

Any possible way to controll some relays with a arduino? The car has a android media system with usb ports.

The plan was to have direct power from the battery, into the relay and then to the electrical acutator, and then controll the relay with power from the arduino.

Anyone knows how to do this?
Feel free to ask questions on things that didnt make sense, and ill try to answer in the best way

Piece of cake.

Which tells us just about nothing. It is remotely possible that the USB ports are serial output ports, but I'd be more on someone dropping of a 32 coupe for me to drive than on that being the case.

What electrical actuator? This is the first time anything like that is mentioned.

And where does the android come in? What exactly is that going to be doing?

The acutator is gonna lock the diffrential in my gearbox. It gets power thru the relay. I could use a button and forgrt the arduino. But i want to controll it with my android headunit in the car.
Hope that clears up the confussion, and hopefully helps me later

Answered you  got any ideas?

Unfortunately not. In particular I have no idea how an Android car stereo head unit might connect to or in any way control an Arduino. Way outside my experience.
