Curtain sensors for Arduino

Hi, does anyone know whether it's possible to mount IR curtain sensors to the Arduino Mega 2560 or where to get them? Basically i want an array of IR sensors that can be detected and powered by the arduino. So each sensor will function the same way. When any of the IR sensors is detected it will trigger an alarm or something. Thanks

Cheers

Like these?

not exactly. i was thinking more of IR sensors all arranged in an array?

That's what those are - Passive InfraRed sensors. They notice when the steady-state condition changes.

Here's a commerially available example. I believe the output is simple Hi/Lo signal.

You can also use beam-blocking sensors, if the receive side loses the incoming signal you get a change in its output signal.

i think this is what i'm looking for...
