Hello to all reading this,
Let me start by stating that I am less than a noob, not on Arduino, but on any other programming or electronics in general.
Project:
I have started a huge project of creating an immense Cylon Raider out of Lego, something based on, but larger than a MOC-12653. I didn't have a large budget, so bought up a lot of used legos, washed and sorted them, and bought the MOC instructions from Aliexpess. And the hopes are to also program an Arduino Uno to make it do a couple of cool things, such as re-creating their famous "eye-movement" and randomly blinking engines.
Vision:
My vision on this is to have Arduino in deep sleep, running on a rechargeable battery pack inside the build, that would provide 12v output, and have a PIR sensor in the front to start 2x 12v high RPM Small fans (that would channel wind to 2x 5v engines that would act as individual dynamos for 2x 1.5v LEDs that will be the blinking engine lights) and an LED ring for the eye part running a code for a 180 degree movement, from mid - to right - to left - to mid.
Status:
I've bought the Uno, the led ring, the fans, the PIR and a relay, and managed to create a messy code to do my bidding on the LED ring. It works fine (although I am sure you'd all faint to see the code) but I got stuck on implementing the PIR and the relay, as most tutorials on youtube go into electronics that go over my head, talking about things like resistors and capacitors and MOSFET and what not... They're all giberish to me...
The ask:
Would there anyone out here on this forum have the passion to help me out in making this happen via an online meeting or such? Unfortunately, I do not have enough spare time next to the daily job to learn about all these things, and got stuck for months now with the entire project...
