Hi there, is there any sensors that can be placed on the medication pill box to detect if there IS or isnt any pill in the box?

The weight sensor is called a load cell. These are the same sensors used in digital scales. You might also be able to use an IR reflectance sensor to determine pill presence/absence without measuring weight. We might be able to provide more advice if you provide details about the project.
