Good Day! I'm currently documenting my project, I'm using DHT22 sensor, does anyone know the distance or range that it can sense? It will be a great help. Thank you.

Perhaps you got that somewhat smart aleck response because your question was not clear enough.
Both of the words 'distance' and 'range' show up in the datasheet so it seems simple enough . . . unless you really want to know how far away the sensor can be from the device whose temperature is being measured.

Thank you for replying. I'm sorry about that. What I really want to know is how far away the sensor can be from the device whose temperature is being measured? It's coverage area?
The range is essentially zero as it can only determine the temperature from the air/gas passing over the sensor's surface. If you want to measure temperature at some distance then you will need an infrared measuring device.
