Difference between Leonardo and Pro Micro

Hey,

I'm trying to build a force feedback sim wheel and i would like to use a leonardo for that.
But when i'm searching at my local shops' website, the pro micro keeps popping up.
Looking at the comparison page, there looks to be no difference between the two, but i'm not sure, I need to reflash the bootloader for custom firmware.

Should I buy the Leonardo or the Pro Micro, is there any difference?

There should be little difference. The ProMicro uses the same 32U4 MCU. However it may have fewer I/O pins than the physically larger Leonardo.

The Leonardo has the obvious advantage that standard shields can connect to it - but I guess you don't need that.
