Display connection (different EPD connectors)

Hi guys,

I would like to connect my 3.7'' EPD with my Teensy LC, however the slot on the board is too big to plug in with the given EPD.

When you have a look at the image and you have the comparison between the two EPDs (one is suited for the Teensy LC slot, the other one is has a general EPD plug).

So at the end of the day I need a connector for the bigger EPD to plug it in to the board.

Please have a look at the image, I marked both types of EPDs.

Thanks in advance and kind regards,
ruffy

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.

Please read the first post in any forum entitled how to use this forum.

Ops pic.

Thanks.. Tom..

Hi Tom,

what's wrong with pictures in general?

As far as I've read the instructions, I saw that a forum member can embed images within the post and pictures as attachment, which shouldn't be too large.

Are just codes as pictures allowed?

That would be unfortunate, because I need the picture in terms of a comparison for a solution.

Thanks Tom and kind regards,
Raffaele

Hi,
Its okay, just a lot of the readers are using smart devices and images placed in the post are easier to view.

Do both screens us the same driver and have you got a pinout of them.
Check with Adafruit, you can't be the first to want to run a Teensy with an Epaper screen other than the one needed to plug into its existing socket.

Hi Tom,

they don't have the same pinout.

The larger display has 2 lines less..

At adafruit there's nothing comparable for my intented use.

However, there is one connector similar to the one I look for: see link -> 50-pin 0.5mm pitch top-contact FPC SMT Connector : ID 1773 : $1.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits (the second picture depics it the best)

So, if anyone is out there being the first one shooooouuut !!
