Downloading DPinst.exe for use with CP210X

I am Trying to download CP210x: USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver (Windows O.S. 11) for use with an Arduino Sketch and Heltec ESP32-S3, but I can not do it because apparently it requires DPinst.exe to do so !! Any suggestions as to where I can download this .exe file?
Thank you.

Ask Gemini about this and you might get some suggestions: you'll find that DPInst is no longer needed or supported in Windows 11, but I read you can still manually install the driver for your CP210x.
I don't need that driver and never have, so I can't be of more help, sorry.

Try this

I confirm the statements by the other forum helpers that the Microsoft DPInst tool is not needed to manually install the CP210x driver. This tool is only useful in the case where you want to automate installation of a driver.

However, since it is possible that others who really do need this tool may find this topic through their research, I'll go ahead and answer the question: Arduino distributes this tool as part of some of the official boards platforms, as it is used to automatically install the Windows drivers for the target boards when the user installs the platform via Boards Manager. I'll provide instructions for obtaining it:

  1. Click the following link to open the GitHub page for the 64-bit version of the DPInst tool binary that is bundled with the Arduino UNO R4 Boards platform in your web browser::
    https://github.com/arduino/ArduinoCore-renesas/blob/main/drivers/dpinst-amd64.exe
    • If you are using an ancient 32-bit Windows, use this link instead.
  2. Click the downward pointing arrow icon ("Download raw file") at the right side of the toolbar:
  3. Wait for the download to finish.

Note that Microsoft has deprecated DPInst:

Starting in Windows 10 Version 1607 (Redstone 1), the Driver Install Frameworks (DIFx) tools, including DPInst.exe, are deprecated

That's exactly the AI's answer, but let's not feed it ready-made food...
