For what it's worth, I had a DS18B20 sensor on a Sonoff temperature device.
Clearly described as waterproof, showerproof more like.
The non-adhesive heat shrink used clearly peeled away from the cable.
Only useful in dry conditions with just the stainless can in the medium.
