Hello ,
I have a Nano Maker on a PCB. I have quite a few components on the PBB that require +5v. I am worried the +5v voltage regulator on the Nano Maker will not supply enough current to power everything.. I want to add another +5v voltage regulator on the PCB . Will this cause any problems Do I need to make two power planes and link them some how.
The regulator I am going to add is R1154N050B-TR-FE
Ray,
Without knowing what you have or need, have you considered a SMPS ?
Boost, Buck or Boost/Buck converter ?
I doubt many of the regulars here have a "Nano Maker".
Post a link to the schematic diagram. Maybe then we can properly advice you.
Without a diagram, and knowing where the power is coming fron, it could be a guessing game.

Hi,
I think @raykhall means a Maker Nano
Just a Nano with some I/O components added for convenience.
@raykhall How are you powering your project?

All you need to do is connect the grounds. Do NOT connect the +5 from each supply to each other that will cause problems. The +5 from each power supply can go to some of the modules as you deem necessary, just not together. Connecting the +5s to gether causes problems with the power supply control loops and no guarantee of what you will get. Just connect the grounds (-).
