Duemilanove on Windows 8

Using Arduino IDE 1.x

I have a new ASUS N76V with Windows 8 and i tried to install the Duemilanove driveres but the serial port thingy stays grey (cant choose com port)
Is the Duemilanove supported on Windows 8? I tried installing via the device manager there were no problems with install but it stays greyed out.

Don't know if you need specs but here ya go:
intel i7 - 3630QM 2.4 GHZ
8gb ram
64-bit
nvidia g-force gt 635m

Also, if i plug it in, my arduino script that was already on it, works fine. So it gets power, but that might be always the case i dont't know.

got it working, reinstalled the drivers again, and now suddenly it worked :slight_smile:
