Error Messages while trying to make a button play a song

Hello people.
I have created some code to have a button be pressed to play a song.
When I try to upload my code to arduino uno,
Compilation error: 'button' does not name a type
apears.
I am extremely new to coding so please help me out. Thanks

Here is the code.
My problem is after all of the #defines and where I start to introduce the button and run the code.

This line of code, and many others that follow it, are not in a function

All of this...

...is not within a function.

Sorry, as I said before I am a very begginer to coding.
How am I supposed to do that? (put it in a function)
Thanks for all the support already!

If you want that code to run once when the Arduino starts up then put it in setup(). If you want it to run multiple times then put it in loop()

Begin here: Arduino sketches

So I would right a line above it that looks like this?

void setup()

or is there more to it?

Also if I put it in setup, would the button code only run once?
Thanks

You really need to go back to basics and learn about the structure of an Arduino sketch

Where did you get the sketch that you posted ?

No please help me. This is for school!
The thing you told me to do worked! but now buzzer is not declared or a type

And the sketch that I posted is in part from something here on the forum and this:

Please Help!

Hello Everyone.
I have a update! I have fixed many things but I have a new problem:

Compilation error: 'notes' was not declared in this scope

Here is the code:
Thanks again for the help. The error or red lines are on 118, 121, 124, and 127

Any Help is Welcomed! Also, if anyone is using the songs I posted on the link please let me know! And feel free to help me with my problem! Have a great day!

I have deleted your other cross-post @1102cool.

Cross-posting is against the Arduino forum rules. The reason is that duplicate posts can waste the time of the people trying to help. Someone might spend a lot of time investigating and writing a detailed answer on one topic, without knowing that someone else already did the same in the other topic.

Repeated cross-posting can result in a suspension from the forum.

In the future, please only create one topic for each distinct subject matter. This is basic forum etiquette, as explained in the "How to get the best out of this forum" guide. It contains a lot of other useful information. Please read it.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Ok thanks for letting me know!

Does anyone know how I would get the notes to be declared in the code above?

Do I have to int it or something else?

The notes in your code is declared, but it declared AFTER setup() function, where it used. And C language syntax requires that every variable must be declared BEFORE it's first usage.
To fix the error you need to move a notes declaration above the setup().

Oh okay thanks I will try that!

Thanks so much! that helped me a lot and fixed alot of things. I have a new problem:

Compilation error: expected primary-expression before 'int'

Here is the code (Am I supposed to put the int before void setup as well for the int thisNote?)
