ESP-32 Cam fails to cummincate when uploading

Hello there.
I have a problem and thought sharing it to you might bring me an answer.
My problem: i have an ESP-32 Cam module and an usb to serial adapter. I followed this tutorial:

but i always get stuck at the point of uploading my sketch, with the message

"A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header
Fehlgeschlagenes Hochladen: Hochladefehler: exit status 2 "

I hope you might have heard the answer or solved the problem by yourself already, because i dont have anymore ideas.
