Hi everyone, I am trying to connect my ESP 8266 NodeMCU with my wifi but I am unable to do so. Though it is able to connect with my mobile hotspot. I am putting the link of the code that I am using.
Let me know how I can resolve the problem.
What kind of wi-fi router are you using? Is it a home router or a router in a commercial or educational building?
I had similar issues once in an educational building. Laptops and mobile phones would connect to the routers in the building, but esp8266 would not, but would connect to mobile hotspots. I never discovered why, but my theory is that the router used a different security encryption to home routers.
Yeah its like commercial one but I do know the name and password exactly. Is there any way to connect or really the things are different for wifi routers?
some commercial organisations and others such as universities etc will only allow connection from devices with registered MAC addresses - anything else is rejected
if so you will need to contact the central computer services and register your device
The connection is open , I know the SSID and password both. Do I need to omit my code??
