i selected “ESP32-WROOM-DA Modue” in the board manager of the arduino
i'm trying to use esp-wroom-32 and it refuses to show up in the ide
i've tried two different modules, all the 3 port on my laptop and all possible cables, that all worked on arduino uno board normally

sorry for the dumb ask but what could be the problem?

Does your PC Operating System recognise the board when you plug it in ?

Try DOIT ESP32 DEVKIT V1 from board manager. It may even say devkit v1 on the bottom of the board.

If the IDE does not recognise the board, you will have to look, as mentioned by @UKHeliBob, at the operating system level. Which operating system are you using? If it's Windows, any yellow exclamation marks in the device manager? If Windows, did you install the driver for the CP2102 serial-to-usb converter?

I've never seen an Uno with the same USB connector as your ESP32-WROOM module shows.
