External sensor for Tado

Hello,
I own the Tado Wireless Thermostat and a couple of Smart Radiator Thermostat. Tado also offers a Wireless temperature sensor but it is quite pricy (80€).

I was wondering if there was already an attempt to build such a sensor using Arduino that "acts as" the Tado wireless sensor.

I found this post where the OP asks about the same thing

any tips?
