I have seen other fora (forums) where a hover hint appears over the thread
gives you a bit more info before deciding to dive in or ignore
The Society of Robots forum does this and it uses SMF as well I think.
I like the idea but on SoR the popup hangs around for ages which is a real pain. I've read the text in < second and then can't see the next couple of posts until it goes away.
