Hey guys, I am a bit of an Arduino noob when it comes to creating electronics and assembling them. I am doing a Uni project at the moment and I thought it would be cool to have an Arduino act as a Midi controller for drums in Abelton Live (or the mobile version Note would be preferable if you could help me with that connection instead??). However the main part of the assignment is using a weather of time data Api that the school gives us access to on their local server. I am wondering how I could somehow dynamically change the sound of the midi drums to the weather so the sound is unique and different every time making a super interesting interactive experience. I have no idea how that would work when playing through Abelton Live (or Note). Also i have no idea how to go about setting up the code for the midi drum pad to control drums or 808s in the DAW anyway. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you
"Sounds" like a great, involved, project. Take a look at making a MIDI device out of an Arduino (only some boards can be used). Rossini has made possibly the greatest musical interpretation of weather evAr. I wish you well. : )

There are many midi threads in the forum. Here's one
