i am trying to upload a code into my ellegro uno r3 but it keeps saying Failed uploading: no upload port provided, so i went to tools and then ports and the port selection was grayed out and wouldn't pull anything up, how do i fix this?
No amount of programming will fix this. So the programming section isn't the appropriate forum category for your question. I'll move it for you.

Try connecting using a known good data USB cable, not a charging USB cable.
Does your operating system recognize a device is inserted when you plug your Uno USB into the computer? (hear system chime or see device manager)
i think that might be the problem
