Fly back diode for small relay

I have this tiny SMD relay:

Would this diode work well to put across the coil for the fly back voltage?

I've been using a much larger SMD one, it's more like the typical 1N4001, but if I could find one in a smaller package that'd be great. This one I found it a schottky, which I've read is good for fly back voltage?
Thanks.

It looks like the ratings are not equal to a 1n4001.

The 5V relay's coil is 178 ohm and draws 28 mA ... the diode is 40V / 300 mA (1000 mA surge) ... no problem.
In case you have multiple relays and need a driver, the ULN2803A 8-channel (relay) driver has built in protection diodes and is available in surface mount package.

It looks like the ratings are not equal to a 1n4001.

The 1n4001 has a forward surge current of 30A. If you want to use a diode with a rating that is only 3.3% of the rating of a 1N4001
then go ahead and use it. IMO, your better off with a 1N4001. The relay is a small relay so you probably will be ok with the other diode but like I said, the ratings are not equal.
