Hi,
Does anybody know of a free circuit simulator that is like Circuit Wizard'? so you can see which way current flows.
Thanks

Current ALWAYS flows from positive to negative. Electrons ALWAYS flow from negative to positive. No simulator needed.

Alas, you have fallen into a very well-known trap, and you are wrong.
Current from positive to negative involves a transfer of energy from electrical to other forms, such
as in a resistor or motor.
Current from negative to positive involves a transfer of energy from other forms into electrical, such
as in a battery or generator.
Current can also flow without any electric field at all, as in a vacuum or a superconductor.
In an inductor current can flow in either direction relative to the electric field depending on whether
the magnetic field is being built-up or dissipated (ie it is sometimes turning magnetic energy into electrical and sometimes the opposite)
Hi, Mark.
Just going from my general science class in highschool. Current and electron flow and historically opposite because when current was defined, electrons were unknown.

The demo version of SIMetrix is a pretty easy way to get started with circuit simulation.
For simple stuff (read: stuff with ideal or almost ideal components), I like Circuit Simulator Applet. It is also handy as an alternative to schematics sketches uploaded here, especially because you often answer your own questions
